Requested ice cream and waited a good 20 minutes for that to be served. Very expensive for the little bit they offer on buffet and with the chef's attitude, forget the "free" breakfast. Because of his attitude, we will not be dining there at breakfast. Chef pounds the life out of the eggs and pancakes. twice the thickness and little filling and fruit. Chef made the crepes very reluctanly and very loudy proclaimed that he WAS NOT making crepes. Waitress requested crepes because they must make them if you ask. The chef was very admant that he was not making crepes. Moreĭisappointed! Went for birthday breakfast. Yous pays your money and yous takes your chances. It’s too bad it was as hard as breadcrumbs the second time we went. They also had nice tasting garlic bread on their bar. So you might go one day and get really good ribs and you might go back the next time and there are no ribs, only meatloaf, And bland meatloaf at that. We were told as we were checking out the second time that they change up some of their meats on the bars depending on what they have in stock at the time. Now you would think being a buffet restaurant that they would keep the same items on their buffet bars and have specially items that are served into addition to their main courses. So we went back there five days later to eat at their buffet again. And let me tell you they were meaty and had almost no fat on them. ever had, and so much that I ate 7 of them. The first day the food was very good and they had some of the best BBQ ribs I have.
We ate here our second or third day in Amish country. This review will cover my second and my third trip to Yoders restaurant this August. We will definitely come back on our next visit to the area. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. She chatted with us when time permitted and was very friendly. was very pleasant, efficient and helpful. It was quite large for a small, and he enjoyed it very much. He also got a small Hot Fudge Sundae for dessert. The fries were very hot and had an excellent taste. The sandwich was as he ordered it and a nice sized piece of chicken. My husband ordered the Breaded Chicken Sandwich without the lettuce and tomato, but with the honey mustard sauce and Fries. From the bowls of spinach and lettuce to all the different veggies to beets, coleslaw, macaroni salad and the toppings such as tortilla strips and sunflower seeds, it was all delicious. Everything was very fresh and they were constantly bringing out replenishments. The salad bar was fantastic- a salad lovers dream. It was so good, I went back and had a second cup, even though I knew I'd probably feel stuffed afterward. It was creamy with large pieces of potato, whole kernels of corn and chunks of ham. The Ham, Potato and Corn Chowder was delicious. There were 2 kinds of soup- Chicken Noodle and Ham, Potato and Corn. We stumbled across this restaurant by accident because we were looking for a different route around a traffic jam.
